First post ever 08/29/2009

This is my first blog ever. I could never imagine that I'd get so far, I always thought that writing blogs is a very-very complicated and hard thing (and only for internet fanatics :). But here I am, finally spreading the word of my wisdom too, cause it seems that everyone did it already.
This blog is about health, fitness, self-development and of course about Transurfing Yoga, a yoga style that we chose to get fit, healthy and grow spiritually.
I have been a personal trainer for many years, I love weight training- I think it's the best way to get the great body.
I started practicising yoga more for self-development purposes rather than physical, and I found that there's a clear diversion between people who do yoga and those who train with weights. These two categories don't mix and don't particularly like each other (or at least understand)
Personally I could experience the benefits of both types of workouts, and eventually started to combine them to get the best results. I don't use heavy weights, normally 3-5 kg, my female clients start with 0.5-1 kg and guys with 2-3 kg. It's still a challenging and sweaty workout, but you always can modify the load according to your fitness level.
The best thing about practicing Yoga with Dumbbells is that it takes 100% of your attention and concentration, thus you don't really have time to listen to the music, chat with fellow gym goers or think what you gonna cook for dinner tonight. It's like a meditation on exercise, workout for your body and mind. You must've heard about The Secret, right? :) In brief, when you want to attract something, you have to put all your thoughts and attention into it. So, if you're doing a workout, and obviously want to attract better health, strong and fit body, great look, why would you think about Dow Jones index?
That's why when we do Transurfing Yoga and concentrate on one thing at a time (whether it's your weight loss, or flexibility or young look) we achieve more results in a very short time.
Well, hope this helps, at least when you go to the gym next time, don't watch video clips but rather concentrate on your breathing and energy flow in your body.
Much love,

Congratulations on your first blog. I've been at it for almost at year now and it's been a terrific way to connect with Yoga enthusiast from all over the world.

I like your weight program. I can relate to it because I'm an avid tennis player. I play four times a week and do an intensive, hour-long, tennis specific weight-training program twice a week.

The interesting thing is, I approach both weight training and even tennis matches as deep meditation with single pointed focus.

I will write you an e-mail response to your message on my website. But as long as I was on your blog, I wanted to be the first to leave you a comment.
